RC Structure & Organization

POSTECH RC Structure

The RC consists of 12 residential floors, with 1 to 3 RAs (Residential College Advisors) and GAs (Global Student Advisors) assigned to each floor to provide guidance and counseling support for residents. The Office of Mueunjae Undergraduate Studies and Housing Services, both administrative departments, also provide overall management and administrative services for the RC. In addition, the RC Student Self-Governance Committee is in place to oversee RC program operations and resident-related deliberations. In this way, the student guidance group, student self-governance organization, and related administrative departments work collaboratively to support RC residents in participating in activities such as career and university life counseling, sports, cultural and volunteer activities, and lectures.



RA & GA Qualifications and Roles

Qualifications and Selection Roles
  • - 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students (enrolled for 5 or more semesters)
  • - Must meet on-campus scholarship eligibility requirements, serve as a role model for incoming students, and demonstrate outstanding character, leadership, and teamwork
  • - Must have strong certified English proficiency scores (applicable to GA candidates only)

    • - Selection process: Evaluation by the RA Executive Committee and the Office of Mueunjae Undergraduate Studies (document review + interview) → Approval by the Head of Mueunjae School of Undergraduate Studies



    ※ As of the first semester of the 2026 academic year, 21 students are currently active
  • - Supporting RC residents in adjusting to university life and providing lifestyle guidance
  • - Offering counseling on career paths, peer relationships, and more through "Conversations with RAs and GAs"
  • - Floor-specific life guidance and residential support (move-in/move-out, room assignments, regular inspections, general cleaning, etc.)
  • - Planning and operating RC-wide events (lectures, cultural activities, sports and leisure, experiential events, RC parties, RC volunteer corps, RC tutoring, etc.)
  • - Planning and operating floor-specific events
  • - Planning and operating "Dung-ji" (hobby activity) programs

Planning & Management Division
  • -  Plans and manages programs conducted in the RC
  • - Takes a leading role in planning RC-wide events
Public Relations & External Affairs Division
  • - Promotes RC activities and manages postings within the RC
  • - Handles communication between the RC and other organizations

Life Guidance Division
  • - Guides RC residents to maintain an orderly living environment
  • -Enforces RC resident regulations |
Facilities Management Division
  • - Oversees management of common facilities within the RC
  • -  Manages RC equipment and supplies, RA meeting room, and floor-level shared items
Education & Volunteer Division
  • - Oversees and manages RC volunteer activities and explores the educational role of the RC
  • - Implements specific programs that RAs can operate within the RC: tutoring, lectures, etc.

RA Residential Self-Governance Committee

  • - A student-led deliberative body that autonomously reviews key matters related to maintaining order and providing life guidance within the RC

GA

  • - Responsible for supporting international undergraduate students in adjusting to university life and providing lifestyle guidance
  • - Plans and operates global cultural exchange programs
